Cnet vs Mashable

Hello, to all our dear readers of Softwarelint. Well, it’s not going to make sense that CNET or MASHABLE who is the best one amongst both of them since both of them have different style of blog posting and blog reviewing. So, let’s first talk about the history of both the sites, CNET.com or download.com or upload.com was founded in1994 by Hasley Minor and Shelby Bonnie since then and now cnet.com under the brand name of CBS interactive has acquired and expanded its business subsidiaries from united states to the whole world with the latest 3-months alexa traffic ranking of 97 (may,2012).

Where MASHABLE was founded by Pete Cashmore in 2005 when he was just 19 and now when he is 25 year old, his social media blog has been so much liked by its users that it has been rated as 231. It doesn’t prove that Cnet has been defeated by its contender Mashable.

Mashable

Cnet vs Mashable“All that’s New on the Web”, you got it correct that’s what MASHABLE works on. With the never ending vision of the young & dynamic CEO, Pete Cashmore this social networking website is growing day-by-day. The website’s primary focus is social media news, but also covers news and developments in mobile, entertainment, online video, business, web development, technology and gadgets. With a reported 50+ million monthly page views and an Alexa ranking under 250, MASHABLE ranks as one of the world’s largest websites. Time Magazine noted MASHABLE as one of the 25 best blogs in 2009, and has been described as “one stop shop” for social media. As of March 2012, it has over  2,775,000 Twitter followers and over 838,400 fans on Facebook. MASHABLE also developed their own apps for iPhone, iPad as well as for Android mobile so that users always updated with all social media culture news with the help of their PDA’s.

MASHABLE have also made a special mobile version site for mobile user.

General conclusion

As Mashable is one of the most popular site out there this has been providing hot news about social media since 2005. With a head quarter of 50 member staff based in new york city Mashable growing day by day. Cnet already been established 18 years ago from now which give the sense that how much Cnet has grown.  Cnet HQ located and based in San Francisco, CNET was known as one of the first and prominent brands to embrace community rating. This will really hard compare both of these sites but still we would like to say that as Mashable is working now. In nearest future hope it will going to be more big with a new large staff members and syndicate partners.
